strategy – a plan to achieve a particular goal, usually over a long time

eg: He just walked out of the room and quit.

That’s a bold strategy Tom, let’s see if it works out for him. (haha)

double down V. – 1. to strengthen your efforts by 2X.   comes from a card game, where you bet double, and can win double or lose double.

2. to invest even more, because you are very confident

eg: Trump hit china with 50BN in Tariffs. China didn’t like it, so Trump doubled down and hit them with another 100BN in tariffs.

mint – bo he, a green leafy plant, that has s a soothing taste and a strong pleasant smell.

eg: I don’t like mint.

soothe – to get rid of pain or bad feeling

eg: This tea can soothe your throat.

eg: This is very soothing tea.

cough drops – like a small candy, that can help your sore throat.

eg: I don’t like cough drops. They are too strong for me.

lid – the top part of container, or covers something.

eg: Some Chinese girls get surgery to change their eyelids.

eg: Did you get eyelid surgery? No I didn’t get eyelid surgery.

obstacle – something you need to get over or through, so you can continue moving forward or progressing

eg: The driver saw a big obstacle in the road, so he slowed down and passed it with caution.

eg: Learning English is a big obstacle to overcome, but necessary if you wanna live in America.

In order to have a new experience, the girl took the trip by herself. She chose guizhou province as the destination where landscapes and local culture is amazing. One day, she met an elder man along the river. They sat beside the river,and the man asked the girl to watch the stones in the river.’When the river meet the big stone what happened? Stones are like difficulties in our life, when we have difficulties,we should strengthen our efforts
to come across the difficulties like water flow over the stone.’ The man’s words inspired her.


There is a girl who has a superficial outlook. She worked for a company for a long time, and got bored with working. Sometimes she stepped into the office lobby on workdays, and she felt nervous. She couldn’t concentrate on her work. She felt she was a failure. In order to get out of this situation, she asked her uncle for help. Her uncle told her to go traveling. So she asked for some days off and started planning her trip.
