Writing exercise

Write about what you like and dislike about education in China – try to use some of the vocabulary from today and don’t repeat simple vocabulary.

I don’t like the education in China. In Chinese education, students can only accept what the teacher says passively, and they are lack of critical thinking about the content. Critical thinking skills are an important tool, especially when it comes to personal beliefs and academics. In secondary school, students need to learn many formulas, they also need to learn all kinds of geometry, but when they have been graduated, they would actually forget. By the time students get to college it is too late to change habits to learn new skills such as the ability of critical thinking, complex reasoning and written communication skills that should have been taught to them in high school in my opinion.
