Vocabulary
Entrance exam – the test you need to take to be accepted to a school
eg: I don’t have to take the entrance exam in China, but I have to take it for UCL.
loophole – a legal way or small rule, that let’s you avoid all the other rules.
eg: In America you have to take one of two entrance exams. Or you can take advantage of a loophole and go to community college first, then transfer to university.
rhetorical question – a question that does not need an answer
genre – a type of or kind of, Music, Movies, Art, Fashion
eg: What’s your favorite genre of music?
My favorite genre of music is electronic, they always have a strong beat and make me feel very excited.
bother – to make someone feel uncomfortable or annoyed
eg: Is your brother bothering you?
eg: The wind is bothering my eyes.

Test Clarifying Questions:
What does ____ mean? (What does bothered mean?)
eg: It bothered me when he didn’t wash his dishes.
eg: Were you bothered by the noise?
Can you use that in a sentence?
Is that the right way to use that word? Yes, that’s right? No, that’s the wrong form of the word. (past tense)
Can you elaborate? (explain more)
Corrections:
No I don’t have a driver‘s license ( Possessive form, apostrophe S, shows ownership)
