I go to a gym which has with a pool

standard lap pool

a huge amount of money / a ton of money / a lot of money.

thermal shirt – a warm shirt that you often wear under your clothes

eg: I always wear a thermal shirt.

every other day – one time in two days

eg: I go to the gym every other day.

lap – one time around a race track, or one time to the end and back.

eg: I like to swim laps.

How many laps do you like to swim?

Maybe 3 or 4 laps, without a break, is enough for me.

tolerance (N.) – your ability to handle sth.

eg: My tolerance for spicy food is really high. I only notice it’s too spicy when I get the hiccups.

eg: My alcohol tolerance is really low now. I can’t tolerate a lot of alcohol.

hiccups – when you lose control of your breathing, and start making a funny loud noise, that you can’t control, maybe every 10 seconds or so. can also get it from drinking.

eg: I get the hiccups from spicy food.

eg: I almost never get the hiccups.
