awesome – tai hao le, really great and cool

eg: That was an awesome movie, I loved it.

accent – kou yin, how you say a word, maybe different in a  different city

eg: The Beijing accent is called Er Hua Yin.

Y’all – You all, Cowboys will often say this.

eg: Come here y’all, wash your hands and get some supper.

supper – dinner

eg: Come here y’all finish your supper and wash your face. It’s time for bed.

howdy – how cowboys say hello

eg: Howdy y’all, I’m fixin’ to rustle up some supper. Ya hungry? = Hello everyone, I am getting ready to get some dinner. Are you hungry?

Barn – a farm building for animals or horses

eg:  You don’t wanna sleep in the barn, it’s full of spiders and it’s dirty.

Thesaurus – like a dictionary, but will help you find different words with ALMOST the same meaning.

eg: You can find synonyms in the thesaurus. Synonyms are words with almost the same meaning as another word.

eg: What do you use a thesaurus for?

To find different words with almost the same meanings. To find SYNONYMS.

Synonym – a word with a meaning almost the same as another word.

eg: You use a thesaurus to find synonyms.

eg: Huge is a synonym for Big.    /   Huge and big are synonyms.

eg: Is Tiny a synonym for Big?

No, it is not. Good question Benny. Tiny is a synonym for small. So tiny is like small.

Dictionary – a book that has the meaning of words.

eg: What do you use a dictionary for?

You use a dictionary to know about words and their meanings.
