invincible – can not be hurt or damaged, like Superman

eg: Are the managers invincible, or can they be punished too?

eg: He’s the CEO son, we can’t fire him, he is basically invincible.

eg: No, they are not invincible, if it’s our factory, if they continue to do a bad job, they could be fired.

retention rate – how long people stay at the company

eg: Our company has really high retention rate.

turnover rate – how often people get fired or quit

eg: Our turnover rate is basically zero.

sensitive topic – something you think people shouldn’t talk about

eg: That’s kind of a sensitive topic.

eg: I’d rather not talk about that. It’s a sensitive topic.

had to put up with – forced to tolerate a bad situation or rude person

eg: They had to put up with some rude staff at the factory.

elderly – a polite way to say old person

eg: We should all respect the elderly.

assumptions – a strong guess

eg: Don’t make assumptions, just ask.
