deflect (V.) – to cause (something that is moving) to change direction

eg: She deflected his question, and just ignored it.

eg: I’m not trying to deflect, I just don’t understand the question.

eg: She is deflecting. (Could be ADJ. or V. + ING)

unspoken (Thing) – 1. expressed or understood without being directly stated

2. it is not said, but both groups generally guess that they understand each other

eg: They had an unspoken agreement. He would buy the coffee and she would get muffins. But one day they both broke it, and there were no muffins or coffee to be found.

eg: His face was expressionless, but Alex felt the unspoken criticism.
