eg: I don’t work weekends.

phrase – just words together, no special meaning

(Phrase) check out  – leave the hotel.     We are gonna check out soon.

(Idiom) check out – to look at someone, maybe you are attracted to.       Nickole, that guys is checking you out, you should talk to him.

appropriate – ok for this situation, or not ok

eg: That movie is not appropriate for children.

eg: Those clothes are not appropriate for the meeting.

eg: That’s an appropriate amount of food for a big person.

sherpa – a guide, usually a person who helps you hike big mountains. probably a local person.

eg: Being a sherpa would be a tough job.

eg: Sherpa’s website, at sherpa.com.cn is a useful site for food delivery service, in English.
