eg: Only a small spectrum of shades is acceptable for the products. We can’t have dark and light brown for the same product.
shade – the lightness and darkness of the color
eg: This shade of brown is nice, it matches the bamboo wood grain.
hem – A single piece of fabric, fold the edge and sew it, so the ends don’t fray
eg: Maybe it wasn’t hemmed right.
fray (V.) – fibers come out of the ends
eg: The inside of the pockets start to fray after being washed.

back down – to give up on a challenge, idea or threat
eg: I knew he wouldn’t go through with the challenge to beat the boss at drinking games. It was probably a good idea for him to back down.
eg: Do you think they will back down? Is it just an empty threat?
heads up (N.) – warning or notice, something is coming
eg: I just wanna give you a heads up, the deadline has been moved up to tomorrow.
eg: OK, thanks for the heads up.
eg: I just wanna give you a heads up about our order requirements. Since they have changed recently.
