rest up –

eg:  I need to rest up so I can see the final match tonight.

franchise fatigue – from a movie franchise, when it gets too tired or old and the ideas become cheesy or lame

eg: Marvel movies suffer from franchise fatigue, especially such cliches as the ‘flawed hero’ and the ‘skybeam with infinite alien army.’

played out – used done, shown too much, now is boring and not interesting

eg: Superhero movies are kinda played out, but I still like them.

vending machine – a machine which sells drinks and snacks

eg: More people die from vending machines than shark attacks.

mumbo jumbo – some words that don’t make sense

eg: Enough with the medical mumbo jumbo, just tell me what the problem is.
