VIP Class Notes (Tibo)

Speaking exercise

The first step you need to have a cooperation, a music label or the company who focuses on booking of the music festival.

They will help us to reach out to music festival bookers and recommend our bands

Good partners like that, if you have a good partner like this will get a effect / it will bring good results to you

How to choose a good partner, you can search their website / social media on the internet.
You can see the experience they have  / the projects they worked on

you can get information on who cooperated with them before and what kind of music festivals they cooperated with.

The partner has to match your style.

a good partner complements your company

The second step, we need to plan the tour

you need to plan the itinerary , as soon as possible , as early as possible because if you book hotels and tickets earlier it is cheaper.

We need to have a reasonable itinerary, we manage working time and rest time.
About us, it is the first time we go to Europe so another work is to build our relationship / network

I want to know more information about the European festival industry.

I manage the bands, we can do some cooperations with other musicians in the future  / we can cooperate with other bands in the future I can connect to European musicians, make a song ..work on a music festival together.

when we confirm a show I will receive a letter including the location, what time you will perform, and what time you need to rehearse.
They will offer us the tickets and the accommodation.

When I travel to the city I need to look for the exact location of  the hotel and the festival and how long it takes to go (from one to the other )

I will offer them an exact time we need to have. I will give her reasons / arguments.
A music festival has a lot of bands in one day so they must have a strict schedule.
And a lot of bands won’t have much time to rehearse.

If we have time to get earlier we can help

I can invite some European bands to come to China

The last band they have drums and they play like jazz

We are in a rush to set up everything / we are under pressure to set everything up quickly

It is annoying to arrange for everyone and all our luggage.
We can drive a van to bring everything.
A lot of the band members they aren’t good at life skills.
you need to remind them you need 1 – 2 – 3

On month ago I went to Milan, when I came back from Milan to HK I had a direct flight and our partner transferred in HK to BJ.

I was the last one to do the check in staff is a beautiful Italian lady but I don’t think she was professional.

when I landed in HK I waited at the conveyor belt / I waited for my check in luggage.
After 30 min I didn’t find my luggage so I texted my colleagues and ask them to check when they land.
I thought they wouldn’t lose my luggage.
I waited at the conveyor belt when the last one came out, I asked the staff of the airline and they gave me a letter and I just noticed the staff in Milan

I didn’t have the luggage ticket. They told me you can go to the hotel and we will call you when we receive your luggage.
I waited and I didn’t have clothes to change and face wash, everything.
The hotel wasn’t ready , so I just sat in the lobby for about 2h
I felt unhappy so I went to the restaurant and had a breakfast.

Luckily he came to HK to meet up with me on the same day
At 3pm and they brought stuff for me.

I didn’t receive any call from the airline, I called them in the evening.
They said they would send it to HK as soon as possible.
that day I still didn’t receive it. Finally I received it at 9pm and and nothing was lost.

Before that I also lost my luggage a few times.
that time I flew Cathay pacific

When I got up we arrived so I forgot and I didn’t realize it until I arrived at the hotel.
Our translator helped me to call the airline they found my passport and left it at the counter

when she realized we could see the position of the airpods she threw them away.
