VIP Class Notes (Tibo)

Speaking exercise

I think I didn’t make progress as I expected because it is more like small talk.  / I haven’t progressed as quickly as I expected
Every course is their first course, but for me it is the third.

When you mention AI the first thing that comes to mind is chatGPT.
We have published/posted 2 articles on our official account.
It is a simple introduction about ChatGPT. For me I have seen some people practice their English with ChatGPT. I found that on XHS.

In that article my colleague told the changes it will make on consulting and on healthcare consulting.
Some companies began to combine AI with traditional medicine.
They created AI robots so that the doctors can make a diagnosis with the robot. / doctors can diagnose symptoms together with robots

Now it is internet hospitals, they have discussed possibilities.
In China when you see a doctor you have to take a number for this doctor and you have to go to the hospital but now with internet hospitals you can take the ticket online and you can express symptoms and your demands to the doctor.

I think it more makes sense to those people who go to the hospital to , not people who first go to the hospital -> I think it makes more sense for people who are regular patients of a doctor  / it only makes sense for patients a doctor already knows.

The consulting work includes research, interviews and making a presentation.
I think AI may be more helpful to do desk research or make/prepare/design a PPT

for the the interview it cannot help

it can replace some consultants, in this areas many consultants do the simple, they just repeat the work without thinking. -> many consultants do simple and repetitive tasks  and AI will replace those
But for higher level, they are doing the thinking work so I think AI maybe cannot do this -> I don’t think AI can do this / I don’t think AI can be implemented at a high level.

I think it will happen not far -> it is not far in the future / it is not far from us / we are 5 years away from an AI world
I think maybe it is decided by the situation of countries. / by the political factor

Politics is the most important factor on this tech.

if the situation gets worse the AI will develop faster
People need new things to make productivity -> people need to find ways to increase productivity / to become more productive

It is a new thing, it should compare to gas and traditional energies. It is a new energy

Countries developed by relying on oil and electricity but now it should be AI / AI will be the new driver to increase development

AI may combine with 5G and make more productivity -> increase productivity / generate more productivity.

I have read that a consulting firm they reduced their employee number

they fired those employees but they recruited new consultants. -> they laid off some employees but replaced them by consultant knowledgeable about AI.
Those have knowledge about AI and modern technology.

China has so many college students
There are always some people who are you much younger than you.
It is so competitive. That is why my colleagues want to go to Japan or the US.
It is less competitive there.
I think people shouldn’t make comparisons with others but just with themselves  / we shouldn’t make comparisons with others but just with ourselves.

they are richer than me, they can go abroad but I just stay in China. That doesn’t make me jealous.  / I am not jealous of them.
I live a much better life than my childhood  / it is already better than my childhood.
