When I came back I was supposed to spend 10 days in quarantine but on the 9th day quarantine the government changed the rules and I was released / and they let me go 

I went 2 weeks and met my gf. I first arrived nearby Tokyo and then I went to Nagoya.
I met my gf’s mother.

I met my gf’s mother for the first time only 3 days after I met my gf.
I met my gf’s mother very early. I met her 3 days after I met my gf.

When I met her mother I was a little stressed / I felt a little stressed and I can’t speak Japanese.
Fortunately her mother was an English teacher long ago so we could communicate a little.
I couldn’t understand many words when she spoke and sometimes she couldn’t understand my pronunciation.

She asked me ”  what is your job?”
she asked me about my job

She hopes her daughter can stay in Japan

I said, I stayed in Japan half time in Japan and half time in China -> I told her I can move/live between Japan and China. I can stay half a year in Japan and half a year in China.

Before Japan didn’t opening so when Japan opening I went directly.

she doesn’t want her daughter to go to China.  / she hopes she can stay in Japan.

I get married with my gf she hopes my gf stays in Japan she told me. -> She told me she hopes my gf stays in Japan after we get married.

Maybe next year we get married first and we will hold the wedding after 2 years / in 2 years when Covid is over.

The traditional Japanese wedding is very different. They hold it at a temple and they put on Japanese traditional clothes. But most Japanese weddings are modern and held in hotels.

she doesn’t like traditional weddings so she wants a white wedding dress.

I have to put on a suit to match her wedding dress.

She can speak a little Chinese, she has learned Chinese for 3 years. When we can’t understand each other we use a translator.

In 2019 she went to SH for half a month to take some Chinese lessons.
I plan to buy an apartment in Nagoya but next year I will not be able to buy the apartment so I told her if we get married I will rent a house first.

I think many people they are similar. In SH maybe they hope to buy a house first but in the countryside it is easier.

I think my gf and her mother know I have an apartment in China so they can accept I rent in Nagoya first and buy an apartment later.

I accept to buy a new house, rent a house it doesn’t belong to me and I can’t choose my favorite decoration. So I think it is a good idea.

I hope my gf’s family can pay a part of it. Maybe 20/30% and I bring 70% and the house belongs to us/ the house deed

I don’t know if she can accept this.
If she doesn’t accept I worry a little. If I pay for all of it if we divorce I will have to give her half. I feel it is not fair.
