Write an email to John Smith to let him know you will not be able to go to the meeting on July 18 because you have to go to Beijing on a business trip.
Ask if he is free at another date.

Speaking exercise

It takes me some time to think on how to structure the email.

It shows me how to write this email for 5 points.

Usually I write the emails or reply I only use 3 sentences.
And I don’t write the greetings

This week my boss had a business trip so he left SH.
He went to SZ for the mid year meeting.

He has a lot of work so he will stay 2 weeks.
When he stays at the office he can call me many times a day.

When he doesn’t stay at the office and I have more free time.
This week I had more work

I must finish many reports, some reports for him like ppt and xls.

He doesn’t stay in SH but he can call me or contact me on WeChat

This afternoon he had a video call with me to order me five or six tasks  -> This afternoon he had a video call with me and asked me to do 5 tasks.

The purpose of the video call was probably to check if I was in the office.
