Currently I work in an international corporation you may have heard about LVMH, cosmetics. / you probably know LVMH.

When I was arranged my course I told Judy when I have conference with my HQ they always use French to explain our products.-> the use the French name to talk about our products 

Except the brand name or product name they use English to explain everything. 

I work for the Chinese E-commerce team, we operate the channels like T-malls and JD.
Maybe it is not very familiar with you.-> it is not familiar to you / maybe you are not familiar with it

Content or interest based platforms that have many KOLs.
I applied for the position to handle the visual/design part.
I have changed my position now my work is all about reporting to our HQ and opening new channels on different platforms.

I can’t understand when they use French to talk about our product names / to mention our products

Sometimes I feel the mindset of the French and the Chinese team is very different. They have never been to China. Although our CEO always wanted to go our Chinese team which is based in SH , because of the pandemic he could’t make it. They know little about our market and raise weird questions and I have to know how to deal with them and turn down meaningless jobs.

I communicate mostly with the French EC team which is responsible for communication between regions and HQ.

They can understand my presentation but I have difficulties to explain in details to them like about things like Ecommerce jargon or scenarios that only happen in China. / the specific characteristics of the Chinese market.

On Thursday we have arranged a meeting with HQ to explain the store live.
We have a live hostess to sell products in our store.
When the hostess is selling products she will use samples in front of her.
To make sure customers can find products we have built up a shopping cart in the store live screen.
There are about 40 products. We list them and give them a number

They think it is a luxury skincare brand and they don’t know why we need to use such a visual to deliver to our customers. They think it is too promotional / they are afraid it lowers the value of the brand / they are afraid it doesn’t appear premium enough …

Sometimes I can’t tell them directly about the sales perf because they don’t know the logic behind them. / because the standards use to calculate those numbers are not unified 

He wants to maintain the luxury imagine of the brand -> the luxury image

They pay attention to the visuals and demand us to provide all the visual materials 

They will revise or delete their sales number and it puts us in a dilemma.

I worked with an agency with L’oreal and they were transparent.

My team planned to come clean about it but it backfired 

That time she was in a very dangerous and almost get fired. / when she tried to make them realize there was a problem she somehow got blamed for it and almost lost her job.
