I’m bored of mooncakes.

in Columbia there are a lot of days for celebrating.  / there are a lot of celebrations.
We celebrate everything. It is amazing how people spend money.
St Valentines is in September and now every people waits for one breakfast

The new trend is the husband or boyfriend buys breakfast for her.
Some people make it very beautifully and they deliver it and it is the surprise in the morning.
They say I am waiting for my breakfast. / they push their husband/boyfriend to buy breakfast for them
It is the new trend to buy that and it is a business for other people.

My husband and I we don’t celebrate everything.

sometimes some people only have 1 good thing like clothes or shoes and they go and pretend.

Maybe in Columbia it is the same because sometimes you see people buy iPhones with a payment plan or they save money to buy expensive Nike.
For me the most important is to sleep well. I need a nice bed before any other thing. / before anything else/ a nice bed is the most important for me.

If I want to buy any other thing I save money and then I buy it that but some people in Columbia prefer to buy one hi fi.

I feel omg what are people thinking?  / omg I don’t understand people
people say I don’t have anything but I want to have expensive things / luxury goods.
If I am dead tomorrow I can have that for one day.
They want to enjoy some expensive things in their life. They buy and they don’t care about the future. / they don’t care about tomorrow

If life is always the same it is boring
When you compare with Spain food is very expensive.

Elena is an artist from Columbia.
She was influenced by her time living abroad in Spain and she has been in China for more than 6 years.
Entirely self taught, she started painting more than 8 years ago and uses watercolor, acrylic, pastel and Chinese painting across her pieces.
Drawing influence from her time abroad and the discovery of China through trips she explores her creativity with both painting and photography, she often uses both media to produce the final piece.
