Speaking exercise

I worked in this field for 4 years and I changed my mind so I came back to uni to learn the jewelry appraiser and then I became a marketing person in the jewelry field until now.
At this moment I make another decision and I go abroad to learn the management in England or France so I need to prepare the IELTS test.

At the beginning it is due to my enthusiasm. I am keen on geology.

Diamonds is a big market in jewelry, it is dominant.

I learn if it is real or fake and how to classify the diamonds.
I only learned about the craftsmanship and how the stone is put on a ring

you can imitate the same environment and put carbon materials and imitate the underground environment so it will produce some diamonds and it looks like the real but it is not. You must use a large equipment to identify it.

most people like real diamonds and sometimes they cheat the consumers. they say it is diamond but they don’t tell them it is come from labs.
It is precious so it can investment. you keep a diamond like you keep money and if you need money you can sell it. But if it comes from the lab you can’t sell it easily.

a lot of couples still have this mind thinking

if the economy is enough they will buy another wedding ring

Diamonds is a big market in jewelry, it is dominant.

I learn if it is real or fake and how to classify the diamonds.
I only learned about the craftsmanship and how the stone is put on a ring

you can imitate the same environment and put carbon materials and replicate/recreate the underground environment so it will produce some diamonds and it looks like the real ones but it is not. You must use a large equipment to identify it.

most people like real diamonds and sometimes they cheat the consumers. they say it is diamond but they don’t tell them it is come from labs.
It is precious so it can  be an investment.  you can keep a diamond like you keep money / it can be a store of value and if you need money you can sell it. But if it comes from the lab you can’t sell it easily. / it has a much lower value.

a lot of couples still have this mindset  / way of thinking

if they have enough money   / if they manage to save enough they will buy another wedding ring

Task1:
The bar chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

The bar chart illustrates the questionnaire result of the proportion of 3 types consuming coffee and tea habits in the last 4 weeks in five Australian cities, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart. Overall, going to a cafe for them was the most popular way (to consume coffee) for citizens while buying fresh coffee was the least popular method.

Let’s first look at the most popular option : going out for coffee.
There is similar data for those who went to a cafe in Melbourne(63.5%) and Hobart(63%), followed by Sydney(61%), Brisbane(55.5%) and Adelaide (49.5%). / Adelaine is the only city for which the proportion of those who bought instant coffee is higher than those who went out for coffee / Adelaine is the only city in which buying instant coffee was slightly more popular than going out for coffee.

The second most popular choice is instant coffee / the second choice in the ranking is instant coffee. The figures in Hobert and Brisbane are very close, 54% and 52.5% respectively. In Adelaide(50%), this is the choice of most residents. The lower numbers are 48% in Melbourne and 45.5% in Sydney.

/

Hobert ( 54%) and Brisbane (52.5%) are two cities in which more than 50% of residents chose this option. It less popular in Adelaide (50%) Melbourne (48%) and Sydney (45.5%)

The least popular option from this survey is fresh coffee. In Sydney, 43.5% of citizens liked it, and Melbourne has 42% of people who preferred it. Next is Hobart, in which 38% of residents chose it / would rather choose it. Adelaide and Brisbane have almost the same lower figures, 34.8% and 34.5% respectively.

Task 2:

In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people.
Why might this be the case?
Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?

It is important to purchase a home instead of renting one for people in some countries. I will explain the causes for this and define whether or not this is a positive trend.

This phenomenon mainly results from an obvious risk of renting housing. Tenants are likely to be thrown out of home since landlords have the right to decide how to manage their houses. If the hosts want to sell this apartment or give it to their children to live in, they must inform tenants for them to find a new place to live / they must inform tenants in advance.
therefore tenants have to spend their time and energy looking for homes and move there.
It can be very time consuming so people would rather buy their own home.  / Many people like to have a stable place
Another reason is that real estate is a kind of investment. The housing price often increases in some areas and real estate can be pledged when house owner need money / can be used as collateral for a loan.

In my opinion, the above situation are both advantageous and disadvantageous. For its merits, house owner would not worry about being thrown out of home and they can refurbish their home according to their tastes, even changing structure to some extend. If renting, people only decorate it or buy some new furniture. For its demerits, It imposes more burdens on house buyers and limits people’s quality of life for a long time. Normally, housing price are ever-increasing in some areas, so that most buyers have to invest a large amount of saving as a down payment. After buying housing, they will continually pay monthly installments for decades.
People adopt economical lifestyles / people start to watch more carefully how much they spend / people start to tighten their belts  They have to eliminate their unnecessary expenses, such as traveling budget to pay their house loan on time.

In conclusion, whether or not to buy a home is a debatable issue and people would better make a wise decision according to / depending on their own situation.

don’t be so extreme , try to nuance your writing a little. It is not all black or white.
