Today, we wanted to focus on the past tenses, as Anna sometimes finds it difficult when describing something in the past.

Grammar

Do – did: Anna did all of her homework yesterday

Go – went: Max went to the gym yesterday

Eat – ate: The family ate at a restaurant last Saturday

Talk – talked: I talked to my friend yesterday

Play – played: Max played basketball with his father yesterday afternoon.

dance – danced: I danced at the school play last year

Watch – watched: I watched a movie with my parents last night

move – moved: I moved the chair away

Jump – jumped: I jumped on hundred ropes

walk- walked: I walked my friend’s dog

read – read: I read Harry Potter last night

Chat – chatted: My mom chatted with me about my homework.

Write – wrote: I wrote a letter to my grandma.

study – studied: I studied Chinese with my friends.

cook – cooked: My mom cooked me pancakes last morning.

Anna’s Yesterday:

I woke up at 7am yesterday, and I got dressed for school, I washed my face and brushed my teeth.

At 7:15 I ate my breakfast and listened to a story about treehouses. At 7:45. I went to school by walking. At 8am, I was at my classroom, then I had maths class.

At recess, I played with my friend Alice, then we had Chinese class in the afternoon. we learned about island then we had English class.

At 4:30, I went home. Then I ate some cookies and wrote my homework. At 6:30, I ate dinner with my grandmother. At 8:00, my mom came home. She ate for 15 minutes.

I went to bed at 9:30, it was a happy day for me!

Halloween 2022

At 7pm, I wrote all my homework and I decided to do trick or treat. I dressed as a ghost, I went out at 9pm with my mom. I went to a clothes shop and took some lollipops. I met my mom’s friends and played with them too. I think I received 5 lollipops at the end of the night.

I spent the Sunday with my friends and it was a great weekend.
