Next class review prepositions and review how we shouldn’t use two prepositions in a row in the same sentence.

Also you can show how if you remove a prepositional phrase from a sentence, the sentence should still make grammatical sense — this is a good grammar check.

Vocabulary

In China, there is a common saying: “never judge people by their appearance”.

In America, there is a similar saying: “never judge a book by its cover”.

With the development of technology, people’s appearance can be changed easily / can change very easily / can be easily changed.

Therefore it should not be the standard of defining a person’ identity / of to define a person’s identity / to define a person’s identity / for defining a person’s identity. 

Remember to be specific in your writing — tell me who’s appearance…tell me what standard.

To determine a person’s identity is a complex thing / [difficult task]. There are other more significant things / [factors] than besides appearance to a person’s identity.
