Task1: The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.

The line graph illustrates how many tourists travelled to a caribeen island in 2 different ways/where visitirs/tourists decided to stay when travelling to a caribbean island  from 2010 to 2017.

Overview, Overall,  the total number of tourists were increasing increased from 1 million in 2010 to 3.5 million in 2017. second trend: the number of visitors xxx gradually increased and surpassed the number of xxxxx

One of the method options was to staying on island, which was the more popular one from 2010 to 2015. In 2010, there were three quarters of million tourists. The figure remained stable untill 2011 and then doubled in the next 2 years to 1.5 million. From 2013 to2015, the number of visitors  living on island was stable. Although the figure of for it slightly dropped in 2016, it returned to the same level of 2015 in 2017.

Another way to travelling was staying on cruise ships. Only one quarter million people chose this way in 2010, but this figure doubled in 2011. In 2012, there was a decrease back to the same number of 2010, and then was continueously increased to reach a peak in 2017 at 1.5 million. It is worth mentioning that more tourists chose this method than staying on island from 2016.

Task2: In the futrue, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Some estimate that paper media will disappear because people can read what they need online for free. I compeletly disagree with the given statement.

More and more people read electronic books and online newspapers since it is convenientce and real-time is reported simultenously on major news media platforms all over the world. Kindle can store hunderds of books and people can download or purchase books when they need them. So , so that they don’t need to carry a variety of books instead of a portable kindle. Readers are availble to read e-books when commuting and waiting. Furthermore, reading daily news online is quiet generally more easily acceesible than physical newspapers. When people input the keyword, the website will jump to pages with a list of answers. Mostly, people do not even need to search information actively. Some of the online news are is even happends reported when the event is happening right now while newspapers must be typed and printed before publication. To attract more followers, subscriptions update news frequently so people always be keep informed by these notifications.

However, it is impossible that the printed media entirely fade away from the public. it is true that electronic books are more portable than traditional ones, but For some elderly people, they do not get used to reading digital news as they can not use smart phones skillfully. The words on the screen are too small to be read for those who have poor eyesight. on the other hand, For those who seek for academic information, what their primary concern is the accuracy and authority of it. however, there is a lot of wrong imformation online since everyone can post articles which do not be are not necessarily fact checked. At on some question and answer platforms, such as Quora and Zhihu, people answer questions according to their own experiences. Sometimes, it might results in people being misled misleading others. even when there are a lot of authoritative information online,  there are lots of professional the majority of academic resouces are often be  charged by publishers as they are valuable. Those who indeed need it will still have to pay for these such information instead of having unlimited access to everything as is imagined by some ppl.

In conclusion, the electronic media is becoming more and more popular, but it can not wholeheartedly entirely replace/substitute paper media.

needn’t do sth = do not need to do something
