Grammar

to ask a question with an answer like ‘her cat is called ginger’, it should be ‘what is her cat called?’
for sentences in passive voice 被动语态, the question has the be verb after the wh- question word, and is followed by the rest of the sentence.
another example:
the kid was sent to the kindergarten.
where was the kid sent to?

for sentences with a verb that is not ‘be’, we need do/does to form a wh- question:
Q: where __________
A: ben works in a hospital.

step0: choose the appropriate wh- word/phrase to start a question
Step1: 观察句中数格- do/ does
step2: d0/does 提前
step3: write down the rest of the sentence – verb in the original form

to ask the frequency of doing something- 提问频率
how often do/does someone do something?
e.g., how often does ming play basketball?

你住在哪?where do you live?
