VIP Class Notes (Luca)

Homework

My parents and I went back to my mother’s hometown in Fenghua, Ningbo to pay our respects to our ancestors during the Tomb-Sweeping Day Festival
It’s just a boring formalism formality,  like every holiday has a specific thing to do customs not doing it will seem like you don’t fit in.
For me, going to Fenghua is just a relaxing trip. Sure, I can meet my cousin Susanna. Suzanne is not only my cousin, she is also my best friend, we grew up playing together (she used to be live near my house) and now we haven’t been together seen each other for a long time due to work and other reasons.
Susanna and I took the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air in the mountains and eat the local delicacies-taro patches and bamboo shoots (the mountains around our home are full of bamboo).
Although I only stayed in Ningbo for two short days, I felt very happy. The holidays are supposed to be a time to travel, relax, get away from work, and release relieve stress, aren’t they?As for ancestor worship… Leave it to the previous generation…

The House of Plantagenet was a royal house which originated from the lands of Anjou in France. The name Plantagenet is used by modern historians to identify four distinct royal houses: the Angevins, who were also counts of Anjou; the main body of the Plantagenets following the loss of Anjou; and the Plantagenets’ two cadet branches, the houses of Lancaster and York. The family held the English throne from 1154, with the accession of Henry II at the end of The Anarchy crises, until 1485, when Richard III died in battle.
