Sometimes you’ll find they’re very similar. Just river, lake scenery and fashion.

When I was young I like travelling, but now I don’t prefer to travel.

The place that we have events there, it’s not so many people, just a few people there.

The Yuyuan has limited people to come in.

I sit on my father’s shoulders and there were so many people around you.

I will ask for leave for several days and I would leave on the weekends.

What are some special norms among the Chinese people?
The area of China is very large, where there are 56 kinds of nations in China. So it’s hard to say a same norm among all the Chinese people. But when it comes to the norms which are different to westerners, I can give you some examples. First, in terms of study , most parents hold the opinion that if their children get good grades on the test, the parents will be satisfied with them. No matter their children have other skills or not, the exam-oriented skill is the prior. You just follow the teacher’s instructions, don’t speak out when you don’t agree with them, it is incredible to argue with your teacher in class if you both have opposite opinion. Second, some young parents don’t take care of their children because of the busy work, that’s why you can see some grandparents have to raise their grand children. But in western , that can’t be accepted. On the other hand , most Chinese people are diligent and hard working. You can always see a young person to give a seat to elders. Be kind and respect to elders is our traditional morals in our life.

What are some special norms among the Chinese people?

The area of China is very large, there are 56 different provinces in China. So it’s hard to say that all Chinese people have the same norms. But, I can give you some examples when it comes to the norms which are different from westerners. First, in terms of studying, most parents believe that if their children get good grades on the test then parents will be satisfied/pleased with them. No matter if their children have other skills or not, this test-taking skill is top-priority. You just follow the teacher’s instructions, don’t speak out when you don’t agree with them – it is inappropriate to argue with your teacher in class if you both have opposite opinions. In addition, some young parents don’t have the time to take care of their children because of work, that’s why you can see some grandparents having to raise their grandchildren. But in the west, this can’t be accepted. On the other hand, most Chinese people are diligent and hardworking. You can always see a young person giving/offering a seat to elders. Be kind and respectful to elders is apart of our traditional morals in our culture.
