1.wish= hope
ex: Lily wishes for a happy life
ex: Amber wishes to have a husky!!

2. told = past tense of “tell”
ex: Amber told me that she likes husky.
ex: My friend told me that he has 3 turtles.

3. began = past tense of “begin”
ex: The class began at 7:20pm.
ex: The game began at 1 o’clock.

4. laughed= past tense of “laugh” 哈哈哈哈哈哈哈
laughed at = 嘲笑
ex: He laughed at me when he saw me wearing a skirt.
ex: Everyone laughed at the husky when he was eating.

5. cried= past tense of “cry” 5555555555
ex: I cried when my mom gave away my Bichon.
ex: Baby cried when his mother took away his milk.

6. joke= a funny thing to say 玩笑
ex: I laughed when Amber told me a joke
ex: My classmate often tells me a joke. 

7. shook = 摇
shook my head=摇头
shook the tree= 摇树
ex: I don’t know the answer, so I shook my head.
ex: The big monkey shook the tree, a lot of bananas fell off.

8. bump= 撞到
ex: Lily bumped her head on the table.
ex: The bear was angry, it bumped into the tree.

once upon a time a little pig lived in a little house. He lived there with his mother. Two  very fine apple trees grew in Mother Pig’s front yard. They had big red apples on them. One morning Little Pig said, “I wish I had an apple pie”. Mother pig said “I will make some apple pie, but first I must go to the store.” You must stay at home, don’t let anyone take the big red apples. So Mother pif took her basket and went to the store. By and By white cow came along. “What fine red apples”, she said, “may I have one.” No, mother is going to make apple pies for dinner today, come back this evening and I will ask her to give you a pie.” Soon gray Pony came along.
