Vocabulary

1.fob= fresh off boat
ex: she looks like a fob because of the way she dresses.

2. palter with= 马马虎虎的处理
ex: don’t try to palter with the task, try your best.

3. slight over= 忽视 草率的对待
ex: he was upset because his suggestion was slighted over by the manager.

4. walk through= 应付
ex: she never tried her best to learn anything, because she just wanted to walk through the test.

5. appreciate= feel grateful for
ex: Thank you, I appreciate it!
ex: I appreciate her devotion for the family.

6. determined= 下定决心的 坚决的keep doing something
ex: she is determined to be a doctor, she is willing to study for 8 more years.
ex: He is determined to lose weight.

7. willing= 愿意
ex: are you willing to stay by yourself in SH? I’m willing to do this because…
ex: She’s willing to go to XiaMen with her boyfriend.
ex: would you be willing to….

I miss my friend yesterday and we talked a lot about our common friend who got scammed by his ex girlfriend. But they think the girlfriend was his wife because my friend attended their wedding, but the couple didn’t get the certificate. Now the couple was breaken, before they break up, my friend gave the girl one million, because the girl’s relative ask my friend to give the girl cash gift, and write the girl’s name on the house. My friend wanted to get married first, and then deal with this thing. So they break up.

I caught up with my friend yesterday and we talked a lot about our common friend who got scammed by his ex girlfriend. We thought she was his wife because my friend attended their wedding, but the couple didn’t get registered officially. Now the couple broke up, before they broke up, my friend gave the girl one million as a cash gift, and the girl’s family demanded her name on the house/ apartment.. My friend wanted to get married first, and then deal with these thing. It didn’t turn out well, so they broke up.

I don’t write things everyday because I don’t have the habit. When I was in the middle school, my teacher asked us to write a diary once a week. I didn’t think it was helpful to improving my ability of writing, so I was more and more perfunctory敷衍 for writing diary. I just wrote what happened on that day and how was my feeling. But it is necessary for recording something which was important for you, such as the first date, the first salary, etc. I am appreciate the people who write diary every day. They have a powerful willing 很强大的毅力on the same thing.

I don’t write things everyday because I don’t have the habit. When I was in the middle school, our teacher asked us to write a weekly diary. I didn’t think it was helpful with my writing skills, so I was more and more perfunctory敷衍 for writing diary/ I always palter with the writing. I just wrote what happened on that day and how I felt. However, it was necessary to note down/record something which was important to you, such as the first date, the first salary payment,/ payroll check,  etc. I admire the people who write diary every day. They are very determined.
