Vocabulary

1.surrounded by XX= 被XX包围
ex: You are surrounded by love in the family.
ex: The bad guy is surrounded by policemen.
ex: I am surrounded by the enemies.

2.although= 即使 even though
ex: Although it’s cold, I don’t want to wear a jacket.
ex: Although you’re hungry, it’s not dinner time yet.
ex: Although I finished my homework, my mom gave me new homework.

3. similar= 相似的 类似的
ex: I have a similar jacket.
ex: Lily and Ally have similar skills.

4. evaporate (verb)= 蒸发
evaporation (noun)
ex: the water will evaporate and become rain.
ex: You can see the evaporation process when you boil hot water.

5. environment (noun)= 环境
ex: You need a good environment to study.
ex: The supermarket has a noisy environment.

Rivers, lakes, seas and oceans are all bodies of water that cover parts of the Earth. Rivers, which are moving streams of water and lakes, which are still bodies of water, are usually surrounded by land made up of fresh water. Seas and oceans are much larger. They are made up of salt water. Oceans are vast bodies of water, seas are smaller and partially enclosed by land. The Dead Sea is an interesting body of water because although it is a sea, it is also very similar to a lake.
