Vocabulary

costume – a set of clothes you wear for a particular situation

needle – a piece of sharp thin metal

cloth – for cleaning tables and surfaces

break/snap in half – break something into two

ex. Be careful with this stick, it breaks in half easily if you bend it.

diving – a sport where people jump into the water

feed – to give food to a person/animal

ex. You need to feed your pets every day.

escape – to try to break free from a place

prisoner – a person who is kept somewhere and is not allowed to leave

ex. Icarus and Daedalus have become prisoners of the palace.

dark/light – to describe the sky/brightness of a room
