Vocabulary

elixir – a magical potion/medicine

ascend – to go up or climb

ex. Drinking this elixir will allow you to ascend to heaven.

demand – to request forcefully

ex. The captured soldiers demanded to be set free.

immortal/n– a godlike being who never dies

immortal/adj –  living forever

ex. If you drink this immortal potion you will never die.

filling – the stuffing inside a pie, mooncake or pastry

ex. Traditional mooncakes have sweet filling.
