Lying – Is it good or bad?

Vocabulary

effect – a result of an action or a cause

ex. She’s suffering from the effects of too little sleep.

ex. What are the effects of lying?

white lie – a harmless or trivial lie, especially told to avoid hurting one’s feelings

ex. When I was young, I told little white lies.

cover for sbd/yourself – to protect someone or yourself

ex. I kept copies of the evidence just in case I need to cover myself.

please sbd – to make sbd happy

ex. I lied about my test score to please my grandparents.

evidence – proof/information to show that something is true or valid

liar, liar pants on fire – what you say as a child to someone you believe is lying

good karma/bad karma – when you do sth good/bad you will get sth good/bad in return

They want to write what happened when they built a pyramid that the future people know what they overcome many problems.

They want to document/record what happened when they built a pyramid, so that the later generations know what they kind of problems they have overcome

We can’t know how people happen or build the pyramid in Egypt. Maybe the story of the King and the special story will not be known.

I think that children shouldn’t speak lies because if I say a lie, the next time I need to say a new lie to tell people the last lie is true. It is not good and the people around you, if they know that you say lies, they will feel sad and they won’t be friends with you.

I think that children shouldn’t tell lies because if I tell a lie, the next time I need to tell a new/another lie to cover my last lie. It is not good and if the people around you know that you tell lies, they will feel sad, and they won’t be friends with you.
