respect someone’s wishes – to do what someone has asked to have done

ex. Everyone respected his wishes by choosing to not disturb him.

endangered – at risk of extinction

ex. These turtles are endangered because of poachers.

extinct – when animals/plants die out

ex. These animals are in danger of becoming extinct.

biodiverse – having different kinds of life in an environment

hit in the pocket – having less money to spend

ex. Everyone has been hit in the pocket because of inflation.

Grammar

ecotourism – like tourism it’s a term

tourists – if you’re talking about the people

Some tourist want to visit the animals and visit by themselves. But, some companies drug the animals to let the ecotourism watch the animals and make the money.

Some tourists may want to observe wildlife/visit nature, but some companies may drug these animals so that tourists can observe these animals safely.

If local people says they don’t want a lot of tourist to disturb their lives, you should respect their suggestions and do not accept too many tourists.

If the locals don’t want a lot of tourists to disturb their lives then you should respect their wishes.

I think the price being higher and higher because yesterday, I go to the supermarket with my grandmother. I was to buy the biscuit because I like it very much and we found that this biscuit cost 10 yuan to 2 years before. Now, it cost 13 yuan.

I think the prices have gone up/prices have increased because yesterday, I went to the supermarket with my grandmother and I wanted to buy a biscuit that I like very much. But I found that this biscuit which used to cost 10 yuan 2 years ago, costs 13 yuan now.
