Vocabulary

misinformation – False or misleading information that is shared without the intent to mislead or deceive people
fact-check – check the facts to see if it’s true/false
source – where the information is from
ex. primary/secondary sources
ex. The kid reporter visited several sources to fact-check the rumour.
protestor – a person who is unhappy about something and is complaining in public
ex. Protestors gathered at the park to protest about the low pay.
viral – to become famous, popular or trending
ex. a viral video
ex. Influencers hope that their content goes viral so that they can become famous.
