Understanding different question types

Vocabulary

discuss – talk or write about a topic in detail/you look at different ideas

ex. Discuss problems that people have if they spend too much time watching TV.

compare – similarities/differences

benefits/drawbacks or advantages/disadvantages – the good/the bad

in front of now

before now/the present 

How to write a good paragraph:

-What is your main point? (This should be clear)

-Explain your point by giving a bit of detail (you answer why)

-Include example/s to make your answer stronger (this should be related to the main point)

How to answer discussion questions?

-you pick 2-3 details related to the topic question

-you should try to present different opinions
