C15T3:
Task 1:

The flow char illustrates the production line of instant noodles. There are eight processes from raw material flour to the finished products, cupped instant noodles, which are made/produced through mixing, cutting, forming, cooking the processed dough and then packaging them into cups.

The first step is to deliver the flour to storage silos, and then the flour is mixed with water and oil in a mixer. The mixture becomes dough, which is pressed by the rollers to form dough sheets. The following stage is to cut these sheets into strips. After that, the pasta strips would be turned into noodle discs. Then, these discs shaped as round pancakes are cooked before they are dried.

The last steps are to package them into cups. These finished instant noodles are put into cups, finished/topped with added vegetables and spices. The final step is labelling, which means labels are sticked on the outside of the cups. After that, the cups filled with instant noodles and flavoring are sealed before shipping.

Task 2:

Nowadays, advertising is considerably developing with the fast-growing economy/financial markets. Some think that commercials play a main role on encouraging people to purchase commodities. Others think people neglect advertisements since they got used to them. Arguments for both sides will be detailed in this essay, followed by my own view.

For those who agree with the former argument, they think advertisements show the best side of the products to stimulate consumption. Consumers see these beautified pictures and videos , and exaggerated functions all at the same time. They will be attracted/more likely to buy these products since they look perfect and multifunctional. Even for those who do not want to buy anything, these advertisements are displayed many times so that people eventually get interested in them. Furthermore, companies often chooses famous people who have a lot of online presence/who are trending to endorse their products, so that their fans might pay more attention to these products and also be more willing to pay the bills.

Others, however, believe that advertisements are too repetitive so that customers would not follow to buy popular products, since advertising have been prevailing for several decades. When the ads appear, people might change channels or just leave to do their housework. Since these advertisements are broadcasted too many times, people do not want to watch them repetitively. Meanwhile, many of the advertisements seen on online platforms, such as WeChat, Weibo, YouTube and so forth are ignored by most people who will often click “skip” to avoid watching them.

In my opinion, advertising used to be a good way to promote markets, and it truly helped people to be exposed to new information in the early stages when it first became popular. Nevertheless, there is an excess of commercials everywhere, and some of them exaggerate the truth in order to grasp more market shares. This leads people to not trust advertisements anymore. If the government can regulate the content of the advertisements more strictly, consumers will be more willing to learn about new products through advertising.
