The government is responsible for protecting a nation’s cultural identity. Thus, some people believe new buildings should be built in traditional styles. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

The prevalence of globalization has inevitably posed a threat to a wide range of areas which is abundant in cultural and historical heritage, such as architectures. Instead of speeding up the expansion of modern buildings, particularly skyscrapers, rooted in cities, some protectionists argue in defence of conventional counterparts as it seeks to recognize unique cultural identity and help establish cultural confidence. Nevertheless, l am of the opinion that it is pretty essential to erect more traditional buildings, though a few drawbacks may emerge.
On one hand, people tend to have easier access and more opportunities to be exposed to ancient buildings if new buildings are in traditional form, which means they are expected to have a better understand of their own culture and history. Furthermore, traditional styles also serve to boast tourism. Supposing that you are wandering in an exotic world where all buildings alongside streets are a pleasure to behold, you must be bursting with novelty and excitement and cannot wait to recommend this place to others.
On the other hand, architecture in tradition styles are supposed to be not capable of accommodating enormous number of people, in stark contrast to modern structures constructing in metropolis. It is neither equipped with advanced facilities, which play a vital role in urban areas.
To conclude, traditional buildings should be further built before all cultural characteristics are swept aside by the advent of globalization whilst they cannot fit the modern life pretty well.

The prevalence of globalization has inevitably posed a threat to a wide range of areas which are abundant in cultural and historical heritage, such as architecture. Instead of speeding up the expansion of modern buildings, particularly skyscrapers, rooted in cities, some protectionists argue in defence of their conventional counterparts as they seek to recognize unique cultural identity and help establish cultural confidence. Nevertheless, l am of the opinion that it is both urgent and essential to erect more traditional buildings, though a few drawbacks may emerge.
On one hand, people tend to have easier access and more opportunities to be exposed to ancient buildings if new buildings are in traditional form, which means (that) they are expected to have a better understanding of their own culture and history. Furthermore, traditional styles also serve to boost tourism. Suppose someone is / an individual is wandering in an exotic world where / in which all buildings alongside the street are a pleasure to behold, you must be bursting with novelty and excitement and cannot wait to recommend this place to others.
On the other hand, architecture in traditional styles were not designed to be capable of accommodating an enormous number of people, in stark contrast to modern structures constructed in metropolises. It is neither / Neither is it equipped with advanced facilities, which play a vital role in urban areas.
To conclude, the construction of traditionally designed architecture should be prolonged lest all cultural characteristics be swept aside by the advent of globalization in spite of the fact that these structures of human accomplishment cannot fit the modern way of life.

here / there / home / work / school – obvious, special places.
beach / bank / street / park / airport / metro / train station = the – they’re all the same
all other places = a / the / my / name… – they’re all different

it was designed to not accommodate a large number of people / it was supposed to not do sth = deliberately designed to stop a large number of people.

it was not designed to accommodate a large number of people / it was not supposed to do that = result
