Writing exercise

The bar chart above gives us a overall picture on the numbers of male and female research students studying six science-related subjects at a UK university in 2009.It is obvious that the number of both male and female students who study biology reaches over 200, ranking the top among all. It’s also quiet interesting to figure out that the proportion of male students outweigh that of female students in all subjects., particularly for students who study physics, which demonstrates a huge gap between men and women. For students who are in the field of physics, astronomy and geology, the numbers of them generally stay beneath 100. Conversely, students who are in the field of the rest of subjects are substantially a lot, whose numbers are all above 100. From above, the conclusion can be easily reached that male students are more prone to study these six science-related subjects than female students.
