Hello everyone, I am glad to be here for this interview. Thank you for giving me this chance. My name is Guo Yijiao, you can also call my english name Echo.
I graduated from Shanghai Normal University in 2009, then I joined Lenovo (Shanghai) Group Ltd. as an ISO/IEC 17025 system certification assitant of hardware testing team. In 2010, I transferred to product certification team after we got the final ISO/IEC 17025 certificate. From July 2010 to December 2014, I, as product certification engineer, took charge of notebook and tablet products environmental certification, mainly focusing on product energy efficiency regulation management like China Energy Labeling, Energy Star, California BCS regulation, etc., and product restrict substances management like EU RoHS, REACH, California Proposition 65,etc., and Lenovo product significant environmental factors management base on the requirements of Lenovo Corporate Social Responsibility like introducing more green materials into the product usage, reducing the usage of hazardous substances and product energy, and also global product certification managment. From January 2015 to April 2017, as product staff certification engineer, except the above work contents and responsibilities I mentioned, I was also assigend to manage product global certification of Lenovo in-house series projects: Gaming Y.
In addition to the daily work above, as the environmental certification leader, I led and completed numbers of new environmental regulation transition work like Mexico Energy Label regulation, Chinal Energy Labeling, Taiwan RoHS regulation and so on to ensure all impacted product lines TTM & TTQ. Meanwhile, I cooperated with 3rd party certification agencies to develop green design label standards in the forefront of the industry. With TUV Rheinland, we worked together on developing the TUV Green Mark standard and got the 1st TUV Green Mark certificate of worldwide.
During the period of my working in Lenovo, I got 2013 Innovation Award, 2014 and 2016 Annual Award for personal of Lenovo RD department, and 2015 Annual Award for personal of Lenovo Global Environmental Affairs Department.
From August 2017 till now, I am working at SGS Standards Technical Services Co.,Ltd as key account manager to support our local sales on communicating with big clients about EMC and RF testing service, and also to support our Auto EMC lab sales to treat foreign clients.
