Writing exercise

Write a letter to your favourite teacher at school, best friend in China, or your mum or dad to say goodbye before your Australia trip. Tell them what you will miss most about them, Shanghai, and your life in China, and what you are most looking forward to in Australia and at your new school.

Dear Yalena:

How’re you doin? This letter for you is to talk about an important thing that will happen in my life : I will go Australia to further my study ,to try a different learning style.

For me ,it is certainly a very excited journey ,but I also have lots of problems .For example , I will go there without my parents accompany , I will seldom meet you and other friends , I will face many challenges in my study and so on .

I believe that l will miss the friends and relatives here. I remember that I met you and the class three years ago . We were all different from now . I sometimes look at our pictures and I suddenly feel how times fly . I will not forget the things we experienced. Our class takes part in the sports meetings , the art festivals , the technology competitions every year and we always be the champion because our unity. We were so proud of ourselves and we all felt it was lucky of us to meet these friends,  study in this group . I also want to thank you for helping me all the time when I am in trouble ,you always give me a hand . What’s more ,I will definitely miss my family , cause we usually have family reunion . We get together to celebrate almost all the holidays, so I think I must miss my family.

Although l have some problems , I still looking forward to my life in Adelaide . I would like to improve my English and make a large number of friends . If you go travelling to Adelaide one day , I must be a perfect guide to introduce this city and take you to a lot of destinations .

Hope your life and study will become better and better. I will miss you. I also want to hear from you soon.

If you go travelling to Adelaide one day , I will be / I’m sure I’ll be a perfect guide to introduce this city / I’d love to take you around the city to a lot of tourist destinations / it would be my pleasure to be your tour guide.
