The maps above generally demonstrate the development of Strokeford over the period from 1930 to 2010.The overall transformation in the area is approximately comprised of three aspects.First, what’s considered to be the most disruptive change is that the farmland located to the east and west of the main road on the middle line has been replaced with rows of houses along with the main road and branch roads which are newly built.Secondly,a newly built branch road has been constructed to link the main road with the retirement home to the east of the center of the map where there were gardens in the past.Green plants there has disappeared with only houses along with the branch road left.At last, the shop next to the post office which is positioned in the center of the map has no longer existed, where houses has been established along with a newly-built branch road. Likewise, some new houses have been erected beside the primary school which is in the opposite of the post office.

The maps above generally demonstrate the development of Strokeford over the period from 1930 to 2010. The overall transformation in the area is approximately comprised of three aspects. First, what’s considered to be the most disruptive change is that the farmland located to the east and west of the main road on the middle line / running through the center of the area has been replaced with rows of houses along with the main road and smaller branching roads which are newly built. Secondly, a recently paved street has been constructed to link the main road with the retirement home in the eastern region where there were gardens in the past. A large tree there has disappeared with only houses along with the branch road left / remaining. At last, the shops next to the post office which are positioned in the center of the map no longer exist, where houses have been established along with a  branching road which is a new addition to the development. Likewise, some additional houses have been erected beside the primary school which is opposite the post office.
