I read an interesting article titled “Scientists are waging a war against human aging. But what happens next?â€, the reporter of which interviewed a bio gerontologist who decided to do his best to solve the ageing problem of human being and make people live as long as possible. He thinks human body is like a machine which can be fixed and maintained for as long as we want. His theory is to divide the causes of aging into seven aspects and solve them individually. Extending life or being immortal is a purpose that human has being pursued since ancient times. In Chinese history, there were many emperors who were addicted to finding some medicine to make them immortal, but eventually their struggles were unavailing. Due to today’s great technology, human might solve this problem one day, but extending life tech must lead tons of problems that we never met before. For example, who will have the right to live longer? Will those who don’t have enough money accept living much shorter life than rich people? Will the resource of the earth be enough since population won’t stop increasing? The world might become extremely horrible.
