My husband and I went to Turkey on our honeymoon 5 years ago.It was early spring but still cold in Turkey when we were there, but the trip was full of warm and sweet memories. It took us 7 days to visit 5 cities from east to west of the country. I was really into the whole different culture, scenery and food of this country. In Istanbul, we went to Dolmabahce Palace which was built nearly two hundred years ago. Back in the day it was forbidden to normal people but now it is open to the public. We were surprised by the complicated decorations in the rooms of the building. In another city called Izmir, we visited an ancient site which was said to be the last place Blessed Virgin Mary stayed. On the last day of the vacation, we paid a visit to a carpet company where hand-made carpets were sold. At the company, a nice man taught me how to use an instrument to make a carpet.
