Hi Alvin,
Could you please help to have a reivew and give some comments on below questions about the detail requirements of new ENERGY STAR Version 6.1 to notebook products?
1. What’s the difference between version 6.1 and version 5.2? Is the product scope expanded to include tablet products and the test method changed from idle mode testing to long and short idle mode testing?
2. What’s the defination to the tablet products? There are some kind of products which is similar to laptop but with the keyboard removable, then if they are should be looked as tablet products?
3. When this new version standard will be issued formally? and what the effective date is? If the effective date is July 1st, 2018, how about the products are manufactured before July 1st, 2018 which can not meet the new standard requirements but still will be sold on the market after the effective date? Can these products be exempted from the new regulation?
I am looking forward for your feedback and sincerely thanks for your help advance.
