read – to use your eyes to look at words
study – to spend time learning a specific topic in depth
learn – the result of studying sth (if the teacher / content / student is good)
eg. I studied at high school but I didn’t learn anything because I didn’t care. I would read books but couldn’t remember anything from them.

in my mind we don’t went to the movie – from what I remember, we didn’t go to movies 

hand brewed coffee – shou chong ka fei

coffee filter – ka fei lv zhi

strict – yan li
eg. the teacher told me to be more strict with him but I didn’t want to

average – the middle / where most people are
eg. he is an average student … not the best but not the worst
