The overview above generally depicts how the layout of the first floor of a particular library have varied over a decade since 1995.As shown in the map,the arrangement of sectors on the first floor at present seems more spacious in contrast to that in 1995.In addition,the library has been equipped with more advanced technology.
First ,what’s considered as the most disruptive transformation is that the area of local reference books has been replaced with shelves of new books and the librarian is no longer existed with only self-service desk left.Besides,computers without internet access has turned into the reading corner where chairs can be seen in the picture,which has been sequently moved to the north of the floor and has been fit out computers.
In terms of the central area,the place for reading newspaper and studying has been removed and there is only a displaying area for books located in the center now.
