Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology.

In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make?

Has this become a positive or negative development?

The world has witnessed a great change owing to the skyrocketing development of technology,which,to some extent,involves the way (in which) people interact with each other.From my perspective,the influence exerted on the types of relationships people make can be divided into the following aspects.
Since wechat,facebook,twitter and all such social applications have begun prevailing in our society, admittedly, it was inevitable that communication would become easier than before for everyone. Nevertheless,there has been a change for the worse that the technology itself is increasingly plucking all our humanity from our soul. Suppose that typing on the keyboard, touching the screen continuously and allowing no time for meeting face to face with your relatives,friends and parterners, is substituted for staying in front of an electronic display and making contact with your AI all day long. How eccentric we would all become! No wonder that Communication Barriers are so obviously common today.
Another change happening is that it seems to be easier for us to make “friends” nowadays. Before the advent of the internet, people used to live a life confined to a specific social circle, meeting with the same old faces, day in, day out. But, when the Internet was introduced to the world / became commonplace / took over / exploded, we were all amazed at how big the world is and how small it can be. Via some interesting websites, we can encounter people from all over the world, and get acquainted with them. In this way, not only can our vision be broadened, but also our thoughts can be much more easily expressed to others. Thus, clearly, technology creates far more colourful relationships.
In conclusion, technology can both play a beneficial and detrimental role in our life. Though it may influence us passively , I certainly believe that this development has exerted more positive effects on people over / than negative ones.
