eg. the police intercepted the car before it go to the bridge

sedative / sedate / sedated
eg. they gave him a sedative to sedate him… he was sedated for hours

terrain / terrestrial / ET (extra terrestrial) – terra is earth

embedded
eg. the diamond is embedded in the crown

compilation / compile
eg. Michael Jackson released a compilation dvd of his greatest hits.
eg2. we compiled a list of the best students and Jill was at the top

encryption – like a code system to keep the security of information or data
eg. all messages are encrypted

comply = obey / agree
eg. please comply with the orders

take the piss / piss take / having a laugh
eg. I don’t believe you… you’re taking the piss

enact – to make sth a reality by doing it
eg. I have created the plan and Judy and Claire will enact it while I’m away

round up / pull in / picked up – arrest / bring in to the police station

a quid / a buck = a dollar or pound
