Today we focused on:

lots of conversation and focused on new vocabulary she didn’t know / couldn’t remember

Vocabulary

how do you know each other? / how did you meet? – talk about the situation / time that you met sb

there is a common sentence – there is common saying / expression

sun cream / sun screen – cream that protects you from the sun

bread / dough / bacon = money
eg. Essie brings home the bacon = she earns good money
eg2. Essie is the breadwinner in her family = she is the main money earner
eg3. Essie earns some dough = she earns money

it follows the lives of 3 families

to be in the closet – to be gay but secretly
he was in the closet / to come out of the closet

to cheat on sb = sb = partner / wife / husband
to cheat with sb – sb = lover

lover – mistress – a married man’s girlfriend

self-sufficient independent – sb who is able to live by themselves and support themselves
