Write about what advice you would give to someone who is studying medicine and asks ‘is it worth it’.

Vocabulary

Oily = greasy – food that is prepared with a lot of oil

genre – category for films/music/books (comedy, drama, action, rap, rock n roll, pop)
eg. My favorite film genre is action/thriller like MI 1-4.

Scrub [V] – to clean something by rubbing it really hard
eg. My girlfriend asked me to scrub the floor because its so dirty.

Scrubs [N] – a type of clothing worn by doctors/nurses at a hospital
eg. I don’t like the color of the new surgical scrubs.

thesis – a paper done at the end of a degree that requires research and writing a paper
sis – a short word for sister

Break through – to finally solve a problem that you were working on or understand something (break through a wall which was your problem)

outcome – what happens in end of a situation

gratitude – to be thankful (grateful)

It’s on the tip of my tongue – something you know but don’t know how to say/explain

Grammar

In Beijing we gave a proposal for a project, and in the end we got it.

My mum and father thought it is good for family to have a doctor but they have no chance to be a doctor. So they wanted me to be a doctor, so when I finished my high school I applied to medical school. During these days, I feel like I like to be a doctor and I love this job. At first I feel that this is only a job, such as you to be a teacher or sales, or something else. Because during the working, need to communicate with others, and I think I am good at these skills like communicating with each other. I feel happy when someone accept my advice and have a good outcome.
