Blender – a machine to mix things together like fruit drinks
Not well/bad/sick/ill/terrible/unpleasant – to describe not having a good feeling
As in – to provide more details about an uncommon situation that your talking about
eg. I work, but not for a company, right now, as in I do freelance work now.
RSVP – a letter or questionnaire that you should respond to
eg. My friend sent me a wedding invitation that I need to RSVP to.
Beer and football go well together/watching football and friends go well together/Baguettes and me don’t go well together
Allergy 过敏
ie / y / ish = adjective
Oily, greasy, Spicy, salty, peppery, sourish, sweetish, tasty (好吃)
For colors, we can ad the ‘ish’ to show that its similar but not the same color: My desk is a brownish color
Grease/lard – oil that comes from animals fat
Ingredients – all the different things you use to cook something (oil, salt, pepper, meat, vegetables)
Choir [V/N] – a group of people that sing together for events or church
eg. I will meet my friends today at our choir practice.
collaboration – a partnership by two companies to do something
eg. MAC had to collaborate with a French company to launch their brand.
eg. I collaborate with a photographer to do a photo shoot.
Toast – when you offer your respects and say something nice to someone (at a wedding, or event)
eg. He gave a beautiful toast to his mother and it was very touching.
