Graduation/Graduate

  • Graduation: Refers to the formal ceremony or event at which someone receives their diploma or degree after completing a course of study. For example: “I will attend the graduation ceremony next week.”
  • Graduate: Can be a noun or a verb. As a noun, it refers to someone who has completed a course of study and received a degree or diploma. For example: “She is a graduate of Harvard University. As a verb, it means to complete a course of study and receive a degree or diploma. For example: “I will graduate from college next year.”
