Remember: Try not to speak sentence fragments. Start and finish each sentence and idea fully. Try to think about the full sentence before starting to speak. It’s ok to pause and think about what you’re going to say.

Grammar

I have a son about 8 years old and we’re planning on him studying abroad and I need to improve my English. -> I have a son who is 8 years old. I have an 8 year old son.

Maybe US but I think the relationship between China and the US not very good. Maybe Canada or England or Australia. -> the relationship between China and the US is not very good right now.

You can buy things, just say Chinese. -> You can buy things just by speaking Chinese. You only need Chinese to buy things. You only need Chinese to do whatever you need.

He just learning English at school. He studied in a private school. -> He’s just started to learn English at school. He is studying (He’s studying)

The sentence is not one by one, so if I want to have a native mind, or a native speaking, and my grammar sometimes, if I write I will focus grammar. -> When we speak, a sentence cannot just be translated one word at a time. If I want to have a native mind, or to have more native speaking, I need to change how I think. If I write I will focus more on grammar.

Some of my friends or my classmates they go abroad after high school or graduated from college, just learning about one or two years and back. Actually they think it’s hard for them to immerse or enter the real life there. -> They just go there to study for one or two years and then come back.

my son is study in a private school. they need to stay at the classroom the whole day. -> My son attends a private school. They need to stay in the classroom the whole day.

They shall have a ballet class per week -> They have ballet class every week.

Vocabulary

Pros and cons – the good and bad of something. Example: What are the pros and cons of the trade war?

eye-opening – something that makes you change the way you think about something. Example: Going to Japan was an eye-opening experience for me.

Recess – a short time at school for kids to leave the classroom and play.

Temperament -> to have a good temperament is to be able to remain calm and polite even while stressed or emotional

crowd/group mentality – when the people around you heavily influence what you think and feel.

ballet performer – don’t say ballet actor.
